BENNY JOHNSON (HOST): You know that our take on Iran has been pragmatic. Not light ourselves on fire. Don't burn your MAGA hats. But I don't like the distraction. It's too far away, and the distraction is, like, burning up political capital that should be spent on lowering prices for America.
The economic numbers are underwater for our side, and they need to be flipped. And you can flip them quick. How do you flip them? Cheap gas. Plow gas directly back down to $2 a gallon, which is where it was. Home prices. You must fix affordable housing in this country. How do you do that? Well, first thing is you deport 20 million criminal aliens. Free up 20 million houses, right? Especially the starter homes, the homes that they occupy. The starter homes get people started with the American dream. Free up those houses, more supply that will reduce the prices.
And then you got to get grocery prices down. How do you fix that? Well, 40% of the groceries are free to the parasitic class. Many of them criminal aliens. Many of them people who need to have their benefits cut, to be quite honest. People who are engaging in welfare and SNAP fraud.
And that was ubiquitous on the old block — I used to live in the ghetto in Washington DC. Everybody would trade their SNAP cards for cash. Ubiquitous — is like literally probably the largest scale fraud in the country is SNAP fraud. And so crack down on that. Make it so that all — like, we're not subsidizing with our groceries, so every time you buy a steak for $22 a pound, you're subsidizing some jackrabbit on SNAP who's buying the same steak for free off the government that you're paying for. Anyway, that's how you reduce — so that you get rid of fraud, I think, and you get rid of dependency on those systems, prices lower.
