BEN SHAPIRO (HOST): Now, again, here is the big problem. Every prosecution that is taking place across the globe with regard to Epstein right now, all the people who are being taken to actual court for actual crimes are being prosecuted not for sex crimes, they're being prosecuted for passing confidential information to Jeffrey Epstein. That's Peter Mandelson in Britain, that's the Prince Andrew arrest — that's what those things are. So we should be pretty clear about the details here.

Now that doesn't mean that there aren't people who engaged in egregious activity to try to rehab Jeffrey Epstein. That includes people who have not been indicted from Kathy Ruemmler to, yes, Steve Bannon, who somehow has gotten off scot-free in all of this, which is absolutely beyond me. I do not understand it for love or money.

Many of the same people who are fulminating against the Trump administration and random members of the Trump administration -- Tucker Carlson grilling Mike Huckabee about the Epstein files, but apparently has no questions directly for the vice president or president with whom he is close. And, also, no questions for Steve Bannon with whom he is pretty close. Like, strange. Strange. Find it weird.

See, I have a pretty clear perspective on this — anyone who committed a crime should go to jail. Anybody who covered up for Jeffrey Epstein or who was best friends with Jeffrey Epstein should be shamed. Anybody who tried to rehab him PR-wise should be shamed — if they didn't commit a crime; if they committed a crime, they should go to jail. Very simple standard, actually, and very consistent.
