Nick Fuentes on leaked chat showing Young Republicans using racist language: “There's groypers in every department, every agency”

Fuentes: “If you are in the Young Republicans, and I'm speaking to you, if you're in College Republicans, if you are in the administration, if you're in a high position, you can't be putting this in writing”

According to Salon:

Groypers, or the “Groyper Army,” are a loose online network of far-right activists and trolls. The movement is led by white nationalist Nick Fuentes, who gained notoriety for his anti-immigration, antisemitic and Christian nationalist views. The name “Groyper” comes from a meme, a plump, reclining version of the internet’s “Pepe the Frog.” That became the group’s mascot around 2017.

During an October 14, 2025, episode of America First, Fuentes seemingly referenced reporting from Politico on a “trove of Telegram chats … among Young Republican leaders in New York, Kansas, Arizona and Vermont” that had a “dynamic of easy racism and casual cruelty” as “campaign talk and party gossip blurred into streams of slurs and violent fantasies.”

NICK FUENTES (HOST): They must know they have a groyper problem. These guys, I don't know. But groypers are all over the government, and everyone knows that. There's groypers at Harvard, there's groypers in all the Ivy League schools, I talked to all of them. There's groypers in government, there's groypers in every department, every agency, OK? And I almost wonder if this was an operation to try to start to roll that back. You don't know. And I would suspect that I'm probably not far off the mark on that.

This is why I tell people, hide your power level. OK? You're not hiding your power level if you're in a group chat with hundreds of people saying we're going to put people in gas chambers. OK, guys?

Now I know it's funny, and I joke around like that on my show, and I'm very cavalier about it, and maybe I'm setting a bad example. But if you are in the Young Republicans, and I'm speaking to you, if you're in College Republicans, if you are in the administration, if you're in a high position, you can't be putting this in writing. You can't. I'm not going to say don't ever joke. But look, Signal, Telegram, let's put the disappearing messages timer on. Let's not put this in writing.

Let's not, let's just not go there. If you're going to hide your power level, if you're going to be a ninja, you can't go blasting off in everybody's faces, pause. You can't be blasting off with all this kind of stuff in a giant group chat in writing with your real face. OK? We can't. That's not good OPSEC.

It's not a good idea. You can't do it. And you'd be surprised. I've had this talk with a lot of people. And I tell them, this is big boy stuff, OK? Time to put on the big boy pants. We got to grow out of that stuff.
