As the weird Trump birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein is released, MAGA media cling to their claims that it was a hoax

On Monday, lawyers for sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s estate provided Congress with a birthday letter allegedly written by President Donald Trump to Epstein in 2003.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the letter’s existence in mid-July. At the time, Trump filed lawsuits against the paper, the reporters, and News Corp. for defamation, and his media allies rushed to his defense, calling the letter a “hoax.”

Podcaster Benny Johnson said the Wall Street Journal reporting is a “hoax.”

Since the letter was provided to Congress, the White House has continued to deny its authenticity.

Trump’s media allies, including Kirk and Johnson, have also maintained that the letter is not real.

The New York Times examined Trump's signature that these MAGA figures are fixated on.

It’s all predictable.

After MAGA media figures lashed out at the Trump administration in July over its lackluster Epstein revelations, Trump successfully forced them to cave to his will and largely ignore the issue. Protecting the personal interests of Donald Trump continues to be the primary goal of right-wing media.
