HUGH HEWITT (HOST): I'm here to point out to you that I have a Washington Post column on the real Green New Deal, the one that's been disappeared now. The media should not go for full 1984 and allow it to be rewritten out of history. That's what happens in totalitarian states. It used to be what happened on the top of Stalin's tomb, you know, Stalin would -- I mean Lenin's tomb. Stalin would show up with 20 people and then next year you'd have 20 different people and they would have airbrushed some folks out and put new people in because they would just erase history. Inconvenient history gets erased in regimes that need to control information flow.

...

HEWITT: The Green New Deal isn't going to happen, it's insane. But what I am not going to participate in is the Orwellian exercise of pretending that's not what they said. It's what they said. We have the document, I read it, I read it on Friday.
