LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): The shut -- how is it subverting governmental norms, when the Congress has the power of the purse, the president has the power of the veto? It's actually -- I think you could make a very good argument that the shutdown is exactly the way the framers intended it to be. No one branch of government has preeminent power. I mean, they have to work together, and if they're not going to work together, okay, then things don't get funded.

So, what is she talking about? It doesn't -- that has nothing -- It's, in fact, working as the framers laid it out. Now, I think the problem she may have is with the framers.

RAYMOND ARROYO: Well, she went through this big sob story, about an air traffic controller, an immigrant from Yemen who came to the United States and got his pilot's license, and now he's getting furloughed --

INGRAHAM: Oh yeah, he's -- the whole thing.

ARROYO: “How dare Donald Trump furlough this man” --

INGRAHAM: So, she starts with a -- a Muslim guy, who's not allowed to -- I don't care what your background is. It stinks to not be able to go to work because the government can't compromise. But it's not just Trump, Trump's already compromised on the wall.

...

She's just getting into it and she's 28 years old, but I'm telling you, any presidential candidate who is going to win for the Democrats, the ultimate nominee, is going to have to go kiss her ring. Absolutely going to have to go kiss her ring.

Although Raymond, I think you said it yesterday, that -- or this week, sometime, that it's only a matter of time before Old San Fran Gran Nan kind of takes her down a peg or two. She's probably a little annoyed that Ocasio-Cortez is getting all this publicity. She's not going to put up with this.

ARROYO: If you think Nancy Pelosi, daughter of the mayor of Baltimore, is going to put -- an Italian -- is gonna put up with this girl staging sit-ins in her office, and critiquing her decisions, in her caucus, in her House?
