TRISH REGAN (HOST): I'm not against welfare entirely. In fact my mother, my mother grew up at times on welfare. And she needed it and she grew up in a project in New Hampshire, believe it or not, we have those there. But there was shame in that. And I'm sure she'd be mortified if she even heard me saying this because I think to this day she carries a certain, you know -- and I always say, "Mom you shouldn't because you really did live the American dream and you went to school and you became a journalist and that's really such a tremendous thing." But I don't know is there's that same kind of shame, Kayleigh, anymore. There's not the same kind of stigma. And, you know, I'm not saying that there should be but there should be some desire to not have to take a handout.
