Fox guest: “There's a myth out there, it's a false narrative, that the solution is to just give guns to teachers”

Former NYPD detective Pat Brosnan: “The fact is, the schools are way too vast. You can't have an armed person in every square foot that you need them at all times. It doesn't work.”

PAT BROSNAN (FORMER NYPD DETECTIVE): Well, it's a horror show, Harris. It's the same story, it doesn't end. Guy with a shotgun enters the school with the shotgun, as Joe Cardinale pointed out on the earlier program, it's extraordinary. It's very, very sad, very bad. But there are ways to mitigate it. And sadly, and I know you and I have gone over this in the past, things just don't change. There's a myth out there, it's a false narrative, that the solution is to just give guns to teachers and have more and more guys with guns. But the fact is, the schools are way too vast. You can't have an armed person in every square foot that you need them at all times. It doesn't work.
