Tucker Carlson: If Mexico is “such a dangerous country filled with so many violent people, why would we let any of them into our country?”

From the April 27 edition of Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight:

ENRIQUE ACEVEDO (ANCHOR, UNIVISION): Mexico had the most violent year in decades in 2017, more than 26,000 murders. I wouldn't call that a safe country. They're actually fleeing violence --

TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): Well thank you for agreeing with me because, of course, I have been making that point for the last year. Right, so, if it's such a dangerous country filled with so many violent people, why would we let any of them into our country?

I mean, we have millions of Mexican citizens living in America right now. If you are right up against a country that's totally out of control, as people are shooting each other in the numbers you just described, why wouldn't you be terrified to let them in?
