MELISSA FRANCIS (CO-HOST): The EPA was so far out of control, and the idea that someone was going to rein it in -- I think about the delta smelt out in California. The tiny little fish that was protected at the cost of so many other things. The EPA has just been out of control and reining it in would really be the right thing for the economy. 

MARIE HARF (CO-HOST): I mean, these are ethical concerns, right?

FRANCIS: Not the delta smelt. 

HARF: No, the --

KATIE PAVLICH (CO-HOST): But environmentalists are some of the most rabid anti --

HARF: But that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about --

PAVLICH: That is what we're talking about.

DAGEN MCDOWELL (CO-HOST): I am talking about that, actually. 

HARF: But that's not what the controversies are about. He's paying under-market value for a lobbyist-owned apartment. 

MCDOWELL: The $43,000 soundproof telephone booth. 

HARF: Yeah, like, those are serious things.

MCDOWELL: Yeah but -- what is more serious is the damage that's been done to American business and people who want jobs in this country by some of these ridiculous environmental rules. And Pruitt focused on cleaning up Superfund sites, actually cleaning up pollution in this country.
