JILLIAN MELE (ANCHOR): While you were sleeping, history being erased in a major American city. Cranes taking down two confederate statues in parks in Memphis, TN. The memorials honoring Jefferson Davis and Nathan Bedford Forrest. It comes just one day after the city council voted to sell the public parks to private entities. The statues will now be preserved in an undisclosed location.
