NEIL CAVUTO (HOST): What is the statutes of limitations here?

HEATHER HIGGINS: You would think that that has expired for something that was 40 years ago and I suspect that that’s part of why if you look at the polling in Alabama, a lot of the Alabamans don’t believe it. He’s been in public life for a very, very long time. Dating somebody who was much younger may be something that we find repugnant but 40 years ago in Alabama it may not have been that unusual.

CAVUTO: Well but she was 14.

HIGGINS: There was one allegation, exactly, about the 14 year old.

CAVUTO: One allegation, right.

HIGGINS: And the fact that that had not surfaced previously is what I think is leading Alabamans to conclude that this is politically motivated.
