PEGGY CARRANZA (CORRESPONDENT): And the outreach towards minorities was given when the magnate lost ground in the polls and announced changes in his position in terms of the deportation of 11 million undocumented immigrants. Now he says he will work with immigrants without papers who have lived in the country for 15 or 20 years. "They'll pack back taxes, they have to pay taxes, there’s no amnesty, but we will work with them," said the Republican [Donald Trump]. But these statements are not enough for the undocumented immigrants that participated in a protest in front of the Trump campaign headquarters.
ÉRIC CRUZ: He's simply not going to change. You can't start a campaign saying, "I'm going to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants," and then from one moment to another say "Oh, I'm not going to deport all of them."
CARRANZA: His critics also complain that the aspiring Republican has dodged Hispanic media.
CARRANZA: Why doesn’t he give an interview to Hispanic media?
HELEN AGUIRRE FERRÉ: He is going to start giving interviews to Hispanic media, but the most important thing is that he talks to voters directly.
CARRANZA: A recent poll revealed that Trump would have the support of 22 percent of Hispanic voters.
