Former President Donald Trump used his Truth Social account to “retruth” a supporter’s meme calling for the imprisonment of Vice President Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden, and other prominent figures. A review of that supporter's account also found numerous calls for Trump’s political opponents to be killed.
This isn’t an aberration. Media Matters recently documented that Trump promoted an account which spews the N-word, praises Hitler as a hero, and denies the Holocaust.
Trump has also frequently interacted with the account Patriot4Life, including this month. That account has repeatedly promoted calls for political killings, including recently retruthing an image calling for Harris and Gov. Tim Walz to be killed.
Trump has promoted another Truth Social account that calls for Democrats to be executed. He retruthed this meme today on his account:
The Trump-promoted “Proud American” account (“Proud_American1776”) has repeatedly posted calls to kill Trump’s opponents. Here are several examples:
Proud American posted (login required) a meme stating that the Democrats and Republicans are working together to hurt the country. The account also posted a picture of gallows.
Here is the first image in that post:
Proud American posted (login required) an image of Harris, Biden, and former President Barack Obama. The account then posted an image of gallows with the words, “Would you support the public hanging of treasonous politicians.”
Proud American retruthed a post (login required) claiming that “Democrats are traitors, pure and simple. … We need to grow a backbone and start prosecuting these people, who care so little about the U.S.A. They prosecuted and charged President Donald Trump. Send one these roaches to the electric chair or gas chamber after being prosecuted for treason, the rest of the roaches will disperse.”
Proud American retruthed a meme stating of Obama: “HANG THE INFILTRATOR TAKE AMERICA BACK.”
Proud American responded (login required) to someone posting an image claiming that there’s a “mass invasion” of the country and that it’s “an act of treason.” Proud American wrote: “Punishment for treason is DEATH!!”
