STEVE BANNON (HOST): Right there, was it Katty Kay, formerly of BBC, did she say the magic words, that formerly extreme policies are now mainstream. That's what you saw yesterday, really, in a tectonic plate shift in Europe, the European Parliamentary elections. The right-wing, or the sovereignty parties showed well but most importantly at the national level blew out the government of France. That was Macron there dissolving parliament. There's going to be a big election coming up in a couple of weeks. Europe is on fire with the right. We’re going to go through the tea leaves. What actually happened in the European parliamentary election, which may not be as many seats as possible but the direction of this and what happened at the national level is pretty shocking.

...

BEN HARNWELL (CORRESPONDENT): When I started off on this show about three years ago, we spoke in loose terms that across the European Union the far-right, the non-establishment right, the alt-right had around 10 percent, we sort of speculated across the Union. It’s now clearly around 20 to 25 percent.

There’s clearly an undercurrent that’s moving in our direction. For me, I  think the very clear winner is Marine Le Pen, in France, who is now set to have the largest political party in the European Parliament. It won't be the largest group, but she will be -- her delegation, her National Rally, will be the largest party, delegation to the European Parliament.
