STEVE BANNON (HOST): Is Jefferson right to a degree? Could you build a society upon the Jefferson Bible that talks about the good that Christ did on his life — on his three years of his time preaching? And what he preached of man, of wanting to live with one's brother?

...

Could you build a society on that, and not have to buy into the transcendence of Jesus Christ as the living son of God, and someone who brought the new covenant with him, sir?

TAYLOR MARSHALL (GUEST): I think if you asked Jesus Christ that — I mean, it's his sermon. It's his beatitudes. Hey, can I just accept the beatitudes but reject the mission and the purpose for why you became man, and that is to redeem mankind — the forgiveness of sins. I think Jesus Christ would say, no. It's all or nothing. It's who I am.

And, really those who do the Jeffersonian project — I think if Jefferson was alive today, he'd be hand-in-hand with AOC. That is the liberal, kind of milquetoast, whitewashed Christianity of the left. The Joe Biden Christianity. It has no teeth. It has no strength. It has no endurance.
