From the December 20 edition of CNN Newsroom with John Berman and Poppy Harlow:
POPPY HARLOW (CO-HOST): Bryan, “I don't even know what all these accusations are.” This is the leader of the party, the leader of the House. What do you make of that response and him clearly saying there's reall no role for Congress here?
BRYAN LANZA (CNN POLITICAL COMMENTATOR): I think there is a lot of truth to the fact that these are criminal matters and, with so many dates removed, I think the opportunity has been missed by many of these alleged victims to have their day in court. That is our process and [INAUDIBLE]
HARLOW: Right, which would arguably make it more of a matter for Congress, no?
LANZA: No, I think it sets a unique precedent that we should probably vet more clearly than just have a reactionary response. These are criminal matters. I mean, there is a criminal process that deal with these things. There are statutes of limitations, like, the system is set up to work a specific way, and for all we know it is working.
SYMONE SANDERS (CNN POLITICAL COMMENTATOR): No.
LANZA: To now have an additional hearing, to relitigate some of these accusations after the American people voted and heard these things clearly, and still voted for President Trump, just seems like a waste of time. It seems like collusion all over again.
