Novak outed covert CIA agent Valerie Plame’s identity in a 2003 Washington Post column after Bush administration officials Richard Armitage and Karl Rove leaked Plame’s identity to him. Novak died in 2009.

He has faced widespread criticism since the 2016 election season for obsessively airing Trump rallies and speeches and hiring dishonest pro-Trump shills as political commentators, many of whom had secretly signed non-disparagement agreements with the Trump campaign, including former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

Scottie Nell Hughes joined RT America as an anchor in September 2018. She was previously a conservative CNN political commentator and regularly voiced support for President Donald Trump. She was also a frequent guest on Fox News before she reported that a Fox Business host raped her. She sued the network for retaliating against her after the report, and the network settled the case.

Corey Lewandowski was President Donald Trump's campaign manager until June 2016. During his time as campaign manager, he was charged with battery for grabbing a reporter, but the charge was soon dropped. After leaving the campaign, he briefly joined CNN as a political commentator while still receiving severance pay from the Trump campaign. Lewandowski later worked as a political commentator for One America News Network, but he was fired in July 2017.

Tucker Carlson formerly hosted shows on MSNBC, PBS, and CNN but joined Fox News full-time in 2013 and hosted Tucker Carlson Tonight from November 2016 until April 2023. Carlson's anti-immigrant commentary echoes white supremacists, fearmongers against immigrants and people of color, parrots men’s rights activists, and often attacks transgender people on his show.
