Michele Bachmann is a former Republican congresswoman from Minnesota who was widely supported by the conservative tea party movement and Fox News. She ran for the Republican nomination for president in 2012 but withdrew early in the primary process. She also owns a Christian counseling practice with her husband, which has been accused of practicing discredited and harmful anti-gay “conversion therapy.”
