Trump Jr. to Hannity in June 2016: “There's zero statistical probability that you can have that much controversy ... and there not be any fire”

Trump Jr.: “If my father did one-tenth of what the Clintons did -- by the way, what they did while in government, OK? Let alone in the private sector, but what they did while in government, he'd be in jail for the rest of his life”

From the June 21, 2016 edition of Premiere Radio Networks' The Sean Hannity Show:

SEAN HANNITY (HOST): There was a Media Research article out yesterday that showed, in terms of negative articles about different issues involving the two candidates now, your father, Donald Trump, and Hillary Clinton, that negative media -- that your father gets four to five to six times as much negative coverage as Hillary Clinton does, and there's a lot of issues out there that they could be covering, they're not covering.

[...]

Do you just accept that that's the way this campaign's going to go?

DONALD TRUMP JR.: Well, you know, unfortunately I think that's the way that it's going to go. When you have The Washington Post and everything that they've done. It's basically Jeff Bezos and his liberal friends using it as a pit bull to try to push their policies on other people. The news today is, unfortunately, no longer objective. They don't talk about those kinds of things.

The Clintons because, whatever it is that they've established, their big machine in politics, they'll always be viewed as these angels, despite the years and decades of controversy, of theft, of all of the controversies. Sean, there's zero statistical probability that you can have that much controversy, that many allegations, all of those things, and there not be any fire. And it's even more embarrassing that the media doesn't even touch on these things as though they're non-issues. If my father did one-tenth of what the Clintons did -- by the way, what they did while in government, OK? Let alone in the private sector, but what they did while in government, he'd be in jail for the rest of his life. It's crazy, the double standard is disgusting.
