BRIAN GLENN (HOST): Eric Metaxas is great. I want to bring in the great Eric Metaxas, author and radio host.

...

ERIC METAXAS (SALEM HOST): I'm concerned. Well, listen, at the heart of everything, it's a spiritual war between good and evil. What we've just seen in the midterms, which is called stealing, is a moral issue. It's not a political issue. It's not a game. It's a moral issue. Corruption is a moral issue. And what happened in these midterms, to my mind, is God's mercy, allowing us to see how deep the rot is.

In other words, anybody who thinks Kari Lake lost, John Fetterman won. I don't think so. I think most Americans know it's preposterous. Something funny is going on. And if we don't get to the bottom of it, if we have RINOs like Mitch McConnell, who couldn't care less about this kind of thing, who's gaming the system himself, we need people to fight for the voice of the American people. So it's almost not a political thing. It's become a party thing. Most of the corruption is obviously on the Democratic side. But to me, it's a moral issue.

GLENN: It is. You know, Mike Lindell has said this before, that the 2020 election, what happened had to play out so that we discovered all this stuff. And so, Eric, the other night when Kari Lake was, you know, announced the loser of the election, I was angry. But then I started thinking to myself, is this another learning moment? Can I just sit back and pray and have some try to put grace on somebody? And I tried to. Eric, I'm telling you, a lot of our viewers right now are very upset. They're beyond mad that this is happening again.

METAXAS: First of all, we got to remember, since I'm a Christian, I get to quote the Bible, Romans 8:28 famous scripture. It says, all things work together for good for those that love the Lord and are called according to his purposes. In other words, not just everything works out in the end, but that if you trust God – I think – you know, another scripture – I mean, I live with these because it's the only way to stay sane, be anxious for nothing, but in all things, by prayer and supplication. In other words, when you get upset instead of staying upset, bring it to God in prayer. Say, Lord, help this nation heal this nation, deal with the corruption in this nation, expose the corruption.

I mean, look, this happens in human history. I wrote a biography of Martin Luther. The corruption in the church in around 1500 was unbelievable. You need, you know, wild people, fighters to say, we've got to deal with this. This is not okay. We've got to expose it. We've got to talk about it.

So, Americans have to be galvanized by what just happened to do something, not just to say the system stinks. You're the system. If you do nothing, it's on you. Any American that does nothing that says, you know, I'm going to opt out. You are part of the corruption and the problem because once you give in, you make it happen.

And there are many people that would do that. And I want to say to those people, that is not right. If you want to be on the right side of history, you have to fight. You have to get involved. And you have to understand this is not the American way. America is better than this. This is despicable that there are people that are so cynical that they would do this, that they would rob the voice of good Americans. I think of my parents, old parents going to vote. It makes me sick that there are elites that think this is a game. How do we monkey with it so that we can win? It's unacceptable. And I think that what just happened enables us as a country to be serious about dealing with this. We've got to get serious.

GLENN: We've got to get serious.
