Rush on “fat fingered screwballs,” attractive waitresses and electoral “fraud”

By Christine Schwen

Limbaugh began “Open Line Friday” by talking about yesterday's precipitous drop in the stock market. Rush claimed that “at no time will the stock market decline ever be attributed to Obama,” and so, Rush said, they have to blame it on some "fat fingered screwball" instead. Rush thinks the market downturn was really about the “failure of socialism,” and asked if fat fingers could be blamed for Obama's deficit as well. He then reported on a study which found that bigger breasted waitresses get better tips, saying this is a bigger story than any “BS Obama says.” He then classily wondered if this was “hands on” research. Yuck.

Moving on to the economy, Rush announced that can't understand why Obama and the media are treating the 9.9 percent unemployment rate like it's good news (maybe because the increased rate is "more than accounted for by a surge in the labor force"), and then falsely claimed that only 66,000 of the 290,000 jobs created last month were in the private sector. Rush later claimed that if Democrats are cheering the unemployment rate now, they'll be dancing in the streets at 10 percent, and added “that's a recovery you can sink your teeth into.” He added that the Greek economic crisis “is what happens when you have a regime similar to Obama in charge,” and claimed (for the second time) that Obama is only interested in returning the world's wealth to to unions and “people of color” who, Rush said, Obama thinks are the rightful owners of wealth. Yikes.

Every “Open Line Friday” Rush lets his listeners call in and talk about whatever they want. Rush seemed to regret this decision after his first call who told him to stop “bad mouthing his country” by not cheering the good work by the Customs and Border Control (CBP) agents who stopped alleged Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad from leaving the country. Later, Rush hosted country singer John Rich to talk about the crisis caused by massive flooding in Tennessee. Rush told Rich that Obama won't talk about Tennessee because “he doesn't have any constituents there to speak of.” Then, Rush weighed in on controversial Arizona immigration law, saying that it's really about requiring everyone to provide identification at the voting booth, which send the Democrats “primary electoral victory mechanism -- fraud -- out the window.”

Here are some highlights from today's show:

Limbaugh: “Could fat fingers explain Obama's budget deficit? Has anybody looked at his fingers lately?”

Limbaugh: “Greece is what happens when you have a regime similar to Obama in charge”

Limbaugh: Obama won't talk about Tennessee flood because “he doesn't have any constituents there to speak of”

Limbaugh: “Fraud” is the “primary electoral victory mechanism” for Democrats
