Rush football analogy: “It's time to take the skirt off Obama and time to put a pair of slacks on him”

Rush got the week started by proclaiming that the media is still “stunned” by the “audacity of nope” in Copenhagen. Rush said that a lot went wrong for Obama because he forgot the Greek columns and the reverb on his speech.

For the next bit Rush went into, we unfortunately have to explain some of the background. On Friday (we didn't include this in Friday's Limbaugh Wire because, well, we thought it was really stupid), Rush started to riff on the Obama kids-sing-along video, the one where the New Jersey school kids sing a song with the lyrics “Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm.” Since this gave Rush the opportunity to use Barack Obama's middle name, he started singing the line on his show -- repeatedly and obnoxiously.

So on his show today, Rush aired an audio clip from Morning Joe, featuring BBC News' Katty Kay saying that there was “something insidious” in the way Rush sang Obama's name. HA! Rush gloated, mocking Kay for not getting his genius, satirical escapades. This led to Rush one-upping himself, playing a new Paul Shanklin parody of school kids singing praise to “Rush Hudson Limbaugh, mmm, mmm, mmm.”

Then Rush talked about yesterday's Patriots-Ravens game, describing how Baltimore's Ray Lewis said that Patriots QB Tom Brady needed to put on pants -- i.e., Lewis was criticizing the way Brady was being too protected by the refs. Unfortunately, we have to explain this, because Rush made it into an analogy for Obama:

LIMBAUGH: Now, this is a -- this is related to Barack Obama. This Ray Lewis -- I want to hear a liberal agree, I want to hear a liberal agree with Ray Lewis that overprotection of the quarterback by officials is hurting the game. Because the insane protection of Barack Obama, this country's rookie undrafted quarterback who played five minutes of one game, has hurt the country. It's time to take the skirt off Obama and time to put a pair of slacks on him.

After the break, Rush played his game of “I told you so,” detailing how four of the predictions made on his Friday show about how the media would react to his comments on Chicago losing their Olympic bid came true. Rush went through each prediction, playing audio clips of “evidence” which proved him correct. We'd go through each one, but let's just say when you have three 24-hour cable news networks and three days to pick from, it's easy to find at least one talking head to make your point.

Rush came back from the next break by reading a Politico article about “skepticism” over a second stimulus. Rush went on a rant about how nothing Obama is doing is creating jobs as promised. “Show me the jobs,” demanded Rush. Then Rush noted the excuse that all presidents inherit their messes -- like how Bush inherited Clinton's mess. Rush expressed hope that the next president will inherit Obama's mess in a few years.

Then Rush read from a UK Guardian article asking if California would “become America's first failed state.” Rush read from this, explaining that everywhere liberalism is tried, you reach a catastrophe at some point, and they always revert to Reaganism “because it works.” Next, Rush read a “comical headline” from a post on ABC's The Note blog titled: “Obama confronts waning political capital.”

After another break, Rush was still talking about a second stimulus. He said that 14.5 percent of the stimulus has been spent since September 1. Now, this is much more accurate than when he claimed on last Thursday's show that only 4 percent had been spent. But the most recent tally puts the amount of the stimulus spent at over 17 percent. Rush went on to re-introduce his stimulus plan that ran as an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal in January as a plan for the second stimulus.

Rush: “The only thing missing during Obama's speech to the IOC was somebody on the committee yelling 'You lie!'”

Rush got the second hour going by reading a Chicago Tribune article reporting that Obama was told his trip to Copenhagen would “clinch” a Chicago win. Rush said if this was true, then the IOC knew how to “play” Obama's ego in order to embarrass him. Rush went on to read parts of Obama's speech to the IOC, which he called “terrible.” Rush read the final lines of Obama's speech:

OBAMA: And so I urge you to choose Chicago. I urge you to choose America. And if you do, if we walk this path together, then I promise you this: The city of Chicago and the United States of America will make the world proud.

And responded as such:

LIMBAUGH: Proud of what? A city awash in corruption? The blood of gangs killing each other? Proud of a country that Obama has done nothing but apologize for since inaugurated? The only thing missing during Obama's speech to the IOC was somebody on the committee yelling “You lie!” Oh man, do you realize what I would have paid to see that happen?

Then Rush read from a blog post at The Hill about liberals in the House considering a bill that would bar a surge in Afghanistan. After complaining that the Democrats would be politicizing the war by doing this, Rush read a questionable story in the UK Telegraph about a supposed spat between Gen. Stanley McChrystal and Gen. “Buffoon” Biden over Afghanistan strategy.

Next, Rush read from a Los Angeles Times opinion piece by Gregory Rodriguez titled, “What America needs is a good enemy.” Rush said the enemy of liberals today is “the United States as we know it.”

After the break, Rush read from a Washington Post article and a New York Times article about Afghanistan. Then he took a caller who wanted to know what Rush's “main reason” was for disliking Obama. This launched Rush into his usual rant about Obama not liking the greatness of this country and trying to remake it. On health care, Rush added this:

LIMBAUGH: We're not talking about medical reform; that's not what this is. Health care reform is simply a vehicle for the denial of individual liberty of freedom and the opportunity for government to regulate every aspect from the moment you're awake and asleep.

Rush continued this rant after another commercial break:

LIMBAUGH: His objective is to destroy the wealth of 70 percent of the people in the country and transfer it to the 30 percent of the country he thinks have gotten the shaft since the founding of this country, and that's what he's in the process of doing. The student loan business is now totally run by the govern -- or it will be, starting next year.

If we're not careful, whenever you need a loan of any kind for any reason, you're going to have to go to an Obama-controlled entity. And then do you think it might not matter who you support Obama or contribute to Democrats as to whether or not you'll be given assistance with your financial needs?

The next caller asked Rush if he thought Obama was a Manchurian candidate. Rush said he has gone “back and forth” on that question, but determined that whether or not Obama is a Manchurian candidate, he still “believes” in all of the things he is doing. Rush went on to say that Obama “hates” the US, which is why he's “remaking” it.

After another break, Rush read a UK Daily Mail article about a former US circuit judge accused of “spanking ” prison inmates in exchange for reducing their jail time. The article explained that in 1997, Alabama's presidential advisory committee recommended to Bill Clinton to appoint the judge to the federal bench in the state. Rush suggested the judge was a good fit in the Democratic Party, since they are full of “perverts” like “safe schools czar” Kevin Jennings.

Closing out the hour, Rush read an opinion piece by Greg Lewis -- no, not an opinion piece by this Greg Lewis -- Rush read a post at the American Thinker by a different Greg Lewis asking if Obama was a “beta male.”

Rush trots out weeks-old, untrustworthy IBD poll on doctors leaving their profession because of health care reform

Starting out the final hour today, Rush talked for a little bit about the David Letterman controversy, using it as an opportunity to bemoan corporate sensitivity training.

Then Rush pulled out a weeks-old, not credible, not trustworthy Investor's Business Daily/TIPP poll which claimed to have found that many practicing physicians would consider quitting or retiring if health care reform passed. Rush commented:

LIMBAUGH: Now, this is a classic, classic textbook move by the fascists. What you do here is you organize the private sector using carrots and sticks, to have 'em work against their own self interests, and for the interests of central planners in Washington.

Next, Rush repeated content from his first hour about how he predicted the media's reaction to his Friday show, and how BBC's Katty Kay didn't get his “Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm” riff. He then replayed his new kids-singing-to-Rush-Hudson-Limbaugh song parody.

After the break, Rush took a caller who described what he saw as similarities between the war in Afghanistan and the Vietnam War, in regards to the Democratic presidents running them to distract from their social agendas -- or something like that. It was kinda hard to follow.

The next caller had this exchange with Rush:

CALLER: I wanted to speak with you about the double standard in this country. Take somebody like David Letterman, and he can fondle or have sex with somebody, and anybody else that's involved in any kind of sexual harassment, you have the National Organization for Women and you have all these different women's groups that come up to bat. Where are they all at now?

LIMBAUGH: Well, they're in the same spot they were when they were with Clinton, asking themselves, “Oh my God, why not me? Why couldn't I have been there?” [laughing] That's where they are.

After another break, Rush read an article from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about college graduates being hit hard in the recession. Rush said this is all part of Obama's plan to return the nation's wealth to its rightful owners by punishing achievers, which Rush said was working exactly according to plan. Then Rush read a CNN article about the Department of Homeland Security hiring 1,000 “cybersecurity experts.” Rush suggested these 1,000 new DHS hirees would be “Obama spies.” (We guess Rush has no interest in protecting the nation's vulnerable computer networks.)

Then Rush took a caller who had her homeschooled daughters sing “Rush Hudson Limbaugh, mmm, mmm, mmm” to the show's host. Rush was flattered, and went on to discuss how it was “moronic” for Obama to go to Copenhagen last week. The final caller of the show complained to Rush that Cokie Roberts said on yesterday's This Week that if we leave Afghanistan, we would be abandoning the women there. The caller referred to this as the “chickification of war.” Rush didn't sound entirely on board with that, instead saying that Roberts wasn't far off. Rush said that if we pulled out of Afghanistan, everybody who worked for us and supported us in Afghanistan -- including the women -- would be dead.

LIMBAUGH: Except for this story from David Bauder at the AP, which could just be a CYA too, you never know. Nevertheless, [unintelligible]. Obama 150 doctors in white coats in the Rose Garden today, to go through the motions of saying they support Obamacare. I don't know, but I would like to find out if there was a psychiatrist among them, because that's who's needed inside the White House. And while Obama's bringing all the doctors there today, Investor's Business Daily with a story, 45 percent of doctors would consider quitting if Congress passes health care overhaul. Two out of every three practicing physicians oppose the medical overhaul plan under consideration in Washington, hundreds of thousands would think about shutting down their practices and retiring early if it were adopted, according to a new IBD poll. Now the poll contradicts not only the claims of not only the White House but also the doctors' own lobby, the powerful AMA, both of which suggested the medical profession is behind the proposed overhaul.
