SHAWN RYAN (HOST): RFK also just came out and supported a immunity — what do they call? — immunity for pesticide companies.
LOUISA NICOLA (GUEST): Why?
RYAN: How the fuck is that making America healthy again?
NICOLA: And do you know the number one cause of Parkinson's disease?
RYAN: I'm going to guess it's pesticides.
NICOLA: Paraquat. Found in dry — it's paraquat is found on our crops and on our fruit.
RYAN: Great.
NICOLA: Yeah. And another trimethyl something, it's another chemical ingredient that is found in dry cleaning products

RYAN: Back to that immunity thing, I mean, we just did a big episode on glyphosate, which is, you know, the main chemical that they've, are giving immunity to —
NICOLA: Yeah. Yeah.
RYAN: And Iowa has the highest concentration of glyphosate in the country and Iowa also has the highest rate of cancer in the country. So, I don't know why they would give immunity to all these pesticide companies. I mean, that right there is pretty good fucking indication that the shit's not good for us. But then they called it a — what do they say? It was a national security concern.
NICOLA: Yeah.
RYAN: But then, I looked it up, 600 and something thousand, 600 — I think it was 618,000 people died of cancer. Was it 20? It might have been 2024 or 2025.
NICOLA: Yeah.
RYAN: And we're calling the fentanyl crisis a national security concern. And the cancer rate is over six times that of the fentanyl crisis. So how is cancer not a national security concern?
