Wash. Times still plugging discredited Swift Boat Vets

Swift Boat Veterans for Truth's attacks against Senator John Kerry's Vietnam War service have been repeatedly discredited, most recently through Navy inspector general Vice Admiral Ronald Route's finding (documented by Media Matters for America) that Kerry's Silver Star, Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts were “properly approved.” Yet The Washington Times has continued to promote Swift Boat Vets' attacks.

On August 18, 19, and 20, the Times reprinted three separate portions of Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry, the book (co-authored by Jerome R. Corsi and Swift Boat Vets co-founder John E. O'Neill) that details Swift Boat Vets' attacks against Kerry. As of September 20, The Washington Times' website still features a box with links to those excerpts on its "Nation/Politics" page.

MMFA first exposed Corsi's extreme anti-Catholic and anti-Muslim public comments on August 6 and has repeatedly debunked O'Neill's lies about the book, Swift Boat Vets, and his own background.
