Politico media reporter and blogger Michael Calderone, one of the few who knows how to handle this beat well and professionally, is reportedly jumping ship to Yahoo.

Huffington Post reports today: “According to sources, he is expected to leave Politico within a matter of weeks to join Yahoo News' original content project, overseen by blogging editor Andrew Golis. Chris Lehmann and ”Cajun Boy" Brett Michael Dykes also recently joined the project."

Calderone, a former New York Observer scribe, declined comment. But he confirmed it on his Twitter account.
