ROB SCHMITT (HOST): I can only stay a month or two months without government support, he says that standing upright, a 50 year-old man. Why can't you stay without food stamps? You speak English. You're clearly able-bodied. You had the energy to go down and complain at the city council meeting. Why are you not at work? You could find that man three jobs by the end of the day in this economy. Uber right off the bat, two seconds. Construction job, easy to get. Why are you paying for him and very likely his large family to eat? Thousands of dollars a month. Why are you paying for that?
And for that matter, why are people who weigh 300 pounds on SNAP? Is there no weight limit for a free food program in this country? Are you kidding me? Free food? You shouldn't be allowed to get food stamps if you're dramatically overweight. In what universe do morbidly obese people get to pretend that they need taxpayer-funded meals? It's obvious so many of the people that are complaining right now need to eat dramatically less if they want to live much longer. A perfect diet plan would be no more EBT cards. And the truth is, this is all a scam is what it is. Millions of people collecting these benefits don't even use them for what they are designed to be used for. They already have money for food. They get way too much money from SNAP for food. They sell off most of their benefits for things like hair, nails, car payment, etc.
