MERCEDES SCHLAPP (CO-HOST): Virginia, I saw this number and I was just in complete shock.

VIRGINIA ALLEN (CO-HOST): Yeah, you know, I wish I could say I was in shock, but for so long we've been hearing that Chicago is just the worst of the worst. The stories out of Chicago and the extreme gang violence, this isn't new, but the situation right now has escalated. And the bizarre thing to me, when we're seeing these protests outside ICE detention facilities, I think you essentially have two camps of people that are protesting outside these facilities that want these illegals back on the streets. You have the no borders people, the people that think, oh, we should just let everyone in. People can go wherever they want. And then we have people, I think in some ways, like Pritzker, that have bought into this lie of these are these poor, suffering people. We should let them into our country. We should keep giving them handouts. I'm not quite sure between those two camps which is worse, but I am so thankful that we finally have a president who's instituting real law and order.

SCHLAPP: Antifa is not poor and suffering. Let me just make that very clear. But, Chris, okay, we talk about this all the time with Jason here when he's like, oh, the shootings are 36% lower. OK, this year alone, 1,200 shootings in Chicago, 360 homicides. That means people are dying. People are getting shot. Right?

CHRIS PLANTE (HOST): And it's more dangerous than Afghanistan was at the peak of the war. And they say it's pretty good. We killed 900 last year. We're only going to kill 700 this year. And they think that's good. Look at our record. We're making progress.

Also, since JB Pritzker said, come and get me, put me in cuffs, it should be pointed out that Donald Trump himself pardoned a former Illinois governor who was in prison for more crimes that he had committed. It was Rod Blagojevich, a Democrat. And Blagojevich was from Illinois, one of five recent Illinois governors who ended up in prison. So, let's go ahead and put JB Pritzker on the list. Why not? It's a time-honored tradition in Illinois.
