TIANA LOWE DOESCHER (GUEST): It's a terminal issue because think about the tariffs. You had last month, PCE came in close to 2%, 2.15%. Because the fact is the tariffs — look, I have been very critical of the list of the quote unquote reciprocal tariffs. But the fact is those didn't actually go into effect. Right? We're still at only that 10% rate. And the margin according to the inflation data from April shows that businesses have been able to eat some of the costs. So it has not been passed down to consumers. Why is inflation still coming down? Because drill baby drill, businesses like Trump and they know that Trump likes them.
T.W. SHANNON (GUEST): Listen, we don't even have to look at projections, right? The American people lived through four years of the Joe Biden presidency. We lived it every single day —
DOESCHER: While we were being gaslit.
SHANNON: Where we had 9% inflation, where gas prices were out of control, where we couldn't afford to buy groceries. We lived through that. We've seen it already. In the first almost 200 days of Donald Trump's presidency, we've seen what a difference makes. And so it's not just about forecasting for the American people. They've lived it already. Life is better under Donald Trump. I don't care who you are. The only person that life got better for under Joe Biden was really his son, Hunter Biden. But for every other American, life was a lot worse off when Joe Biden was in the White House. And they know that.
CHRIS PLANTE (HOST): And the Democrats talking points have forever have been the Republicans are going to take your Social Security away because they know older people are reliably vote. So they'll lie to them first and —
DANIEL LIPPMAN (GUEST): It has worked a lot for Democrats over the years.
DOESCHER: Because they defunded it all.
PLANTE: And Obamacare is a donkey show, and it made everything worse for everybody and more expensive for everybody.
SHANNON: And not one person is healthy.
PLNATE: And nobody loves — oh, isn't Obamacare great? You never heard that.
DOESCHER: The problem with the big beautiful bill is that it doesn't kick enough people off Medicaid. Right now, it's only the illegals, right? So —

DOESCHER: If I'm saying it's not enough, that means, Daniel, that the libs will be fine.
PLANTE: And you remember President Trump on Capitol Hill about a week ago? He cursed and said, don't mess with Social Security, right? I cleaned it up for him there.
