CHRIS PLANTE (HOST): So, Jason, is Iran going to come to their senses and strike a deal, or are they going to remain obstinate in perpetuity?
JASON NICHOLS (GUEST): So first of all, I don't think that this conversation ever happened. The Iranians said it didn't happen --
MERCEDES SCHLAPP (GUEST): Because we believe the Iranians.
...
NICHOLS: I think he's — you know, this is a little bit of market manipulation here. But at any rate, I think the Iranians are going to keep the strait closed because every time they negotiate, we bomb them in the middle of the negotiations. So they're going to be very intractable. They want us to feel pain and we are feeling pain, and other countries are feeling it even more so —
TIANA LOWE DOESCHER (GUEST): Wait, wait, wait, wait.
NICHOLS: So I don't think the Iranians are going to back up off of this —
DOESCHER: What am I hearing now? American oil prices and global oil prices have gone like this, right? American oil is below $90 a barrel right now. The rest of the world, they're the one paying the price, not us right now.
NICHOLS: Have you been to the pump lately?
