MICHAEL STEELE (CO-HOST): So, Angelo, can we just be real for a second here and just note that ICE agents going to airports around the country is a load of crap? Because, as Symone noted, they're doing nothing. What are they going -- are they going to process citizens through the security checkpoints? No, they're not. They're not qualified to do that. They don't have the skill sets to do that. That's not what they're built to do. So why are they going there?
ANGELO CARUSONE (MEDIA MATTERS PRESIDENT): Well, actually, they're going there because somebody called in to the Clay and Buck radio show. I'm not kidding. A caller --
SYMONE SANDERS (CO-HOST): It's always a story in conservative media.
CARUSONE: Yes. And proposed this idea. And then Clay, Clay Travis, went on Jesse Watters on Fox News on Friday night and said, you're not going to believe this. I had a caller on my show today and he had this great idea: send ICE to solve the problems at the airport. Sunday morning, conveniently, we know Trump is a big watcher of Fox, repeats that exact thing and takes this position that he's going to be deploying ICE there. So what are they doing there? I don't know, we should ask the caller, because this was his idea and he didn't explain all the intricacies of this. But it very seemingly came from a call at a right-wing radio and made its way into policy. And that may be why it seems especially weird and confusing. And with, as you noted, they can't even check IDs because it really was just a caller into a radio show.
