Lara Logan headlined a Moms for Liberty event and spouted unhinged conspiracy theories for 45 minutes

Conspiracy theorist and QAnon sympathizer Lara Logan headlined a Moms for Liberty chapter launch in Gillespie County, Texas. While Logan barely spoke about education, she did find time to recite a number of unfounded conspiracy theories.
In her 45-minute speech, Logan managed to work in outlandish claims of Hollywood elites using the blood of babies to maintain youth (a popular QAnon conspiracy theory referring to “adrenochrome”), the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting being an inside job, microchips in vaccines, the Rothschilds hiring Karl Marx to develop a “system of social control,” and tech companies creating “a human terrain map for each and every single person” to control the entire population, but mainly conservatives.
Logan also described health care for trans youth as “murder,” compared The New York Times to the Nazis, and claimed books in schools are teaching kids “that every white boy they meet is a rapist.”
Moms for Liberty’s entire mobilization strategy relies on its ability to manufacture and sell conflict, panic, and outrage to the parents of schoolchildren. And the fact that the group welcomed Logan – a well-known conspiracy theorist who has very publicly split with conservative outlets like Fox News and Newsmax over her outlandish commentary – speaks volumes about its worldview.
The overall theme of Logan’s speech fit this agenda perfectly, as she repeatedly referenced an amorphous “war” they are all supposedly fighting.
“I’m not going to surrender,” Logan said near the end of her speech, “I mean, even if they throw me in a prison and execute me. Until my last breath, I’m going to be fighting.”
Logan’s speech is not out of the norm for a group built on a foundation of conspiracy theories and hate.
Moms for Liberty has recommended reading from a slavery sympathizer and extreme conspiracy theorist, has fearmongered about “globalists, utopians, socialists, totalitarians and the UN” using public schools to “undermine freedom and Christianity,” and actively pushes anti-LGBTQ “grooming” and “critical race theory” misinformation.
Below are a handful of lowlights from Logan’s bizarre speech:
LOGAN: “Karl Marx was hired by Henry Rothschild, by the Rothschild family, to develop a system of social control.”
LOGAN: “Isn’t it interesting that on January 6, no one can make a 911 call? What did that do? It kept the Capitol isolated and controlled...You know another time the 911 calls weren’t working? In Las Vegas. At the country music concert massacre at Mandalay Bay. Wouldn’t that be worth looking into? You would think journalists would be curious about that, wouldn’t you? You’d think our government would be curious about that? No, because we know they don’t want the truth to get in the way of any of those false narratives."
LOGAN: “If you think it's crazy to talk about chipping people, how many of your dogs are chipped? ... Why would you think that that technology doesn't exist for humans? I mean, it would just be stupid to believe that. Right? And then to be told, ‘But they're only going to use that power for good.’”
LOGAN: “So the next time you read in somewhere or hear on one of your shows or something, that the secret to everlasting youth is young blood. Why don't you ask whose blood? How and how much? Is it a baby's blood? How much of a baby's blood do you need? Whose baby? What happened to that baby? How do you get the blood?”
LOGAN: “A human terrain map for each and every single person, which is a guide to what your weaknesses and your strengths are and how you can be controlled. They're rooting out there, they’re rooting out the rebels and the terrorists. By the way, welcome fellow domestic terrorists.”
LOGAN: “This is how you murder a child without killing him. That's what we're doing … some of them have been chemically castrated at age ten, eleven, and they can never, ever live a normal life.”
Logan here references the marginal phenomenon of detransition, in which someone who once took steps towards transitioning reverses some of those steps. According to a 2021 study from Fenway Health, “13.1% of currently identified transgender people have detransitioned at some point in their lives,” but “82.5% of those who have detransitioned attribute their decision to at least one external factor such as pressure from family, non-affirming school environments, and increased vulnerability to violence, including sexual assault."
LOGAN: “If you still turn to the New York Times, if that's still your reference point, what you're doing is it's like being in the in the Battle of Normandy, on the beaches of Normandy or Dunkirk, and going on your knees every day and crawling over to the Nazi leaders and asking them to please write nice things about yourself in the paper, in German propaganda, that's what you're doing.”
LOGAN: “What is going into our schools is not just pornography. These books are teaching everyone that every white boy they meet is a rapist.”
