MICHAEL KNOWLES (HOST): So, why do I mention all of this? Why bring all of this, theology and ancient history into this conversation of Charlie Kirk who mostly hosts a political show? Because it's a sign of the times. OK?
Charlie is he's an unusual figure because, well, he's extremely successful. He's effectively running the Republican Party. You know? He's a big figure in politics. Didn't go to college, self-taught. He's an alum of the Lincoln Fellowship at the Claremont Institute. You know? He's a really intellectually curious guy, so he loves to to pursue the truth as he can find it. And he's doing what a lot of us did, even those of us who did go to college, where we said we didn't really get a full education there. We gotta play catch up in our twenties and in our thirties. And so he's learning things. He's really interested in, not only knowledge generally, but understanding the the knowledge that formed our civilization, things that have deep roots.
