EMILY JASHINSKY (HOST): We're going to go now to David in Michigan. You're on The Megyn Kelly Wrap-Up Show. What's in your mind?
CALLER: Yeah, I think, you were talking about his speech last night. I think, this policy — Donald Trump's foreign policy is a complete disaster, and I'm going to tell you why. Last year, when he came into office, the United States was the leader of the three most powerful military and economic coalitions on Earth: the European Union and NATO, the Persian Gulf coalition, and the Western Pacific coalition. He has put all of that at threat. The threats with Greenland and — it's a threat and belittling of the Europeans and NATO has put a crack in that coalition — in that alliance because those are treaty allies.
This thing here in Iran has essentially enabled the Iranians to shoot at our Gulf Coast coalition. And they have just damaged or destroyed the bases that we have there. They are damaging the economies there. Last night, he said — Trump said specifically that he could destroy their — Iranian power structure, energy facilities, and they would have nothing to do — nothing to say about it. Well, maybe, but they do have missiles that can do the same thing to Saudi Arabia and Oman and the other Gulf states.
Now this — and that will lead to a huge disaster, economic disaster, that's going on all over the world because they're already rationing gasoline in Asia. That's coming here, OK? That's coming here. Prices are going to go up. So while we'll destroy their oil, well, guess what? That means the supply of oil decreases and the prices go up, right? This is a disaster that's leading the world into a global contraction.
