EMILY JASHINSKY (HOST): Mark in New York. You're on The Megyn Kelly Wrap-Up Show. What have you got for us this afternoon?

CALLER: Well, hi. I just wanted to -- can you hear me alright?

JASHINSKY: I can hear you great.

CALLER: OK. I just wanted to say that I was a big supporter of Donald Trump, but I've lost it. I voted for him three times going to one of his rallies. And I believe in his policies, but not his way of going about things. I don't agree with his comments on Rob Reiner.

I didn't agree with Rob Reiner politically either, but I thought he was a talented director and a good actor. And this is not the time to to say the nasty things that he said and make it all about him. He makes everything about him and I've I've totally lost it.

JASHINSKY: Mark, that's so interesting. It's such an interesting perspective because I had a you know, I think a lot of people had a similar reaction to his truth social post about Rob Reiner. And I wonder for you, I mean, it it sounds like it's a a big picture thing for you too that Trump, you feel, constantly brings things back to himself, and that outweighs any of the maybe the policy benefits that you vote voted for. Is that how you're kind of thinking about it?

CALLER: Yes. Yes. I mean, I don't have any -- lost respect for him because he's turned, you know, he turns everything about about Donald Trump. Right. Not everything's about Donald Trump.

JASHINSKY: Right. And some things are about, you know, a beloved American icon -- thanks for the call, Mark -- beloved American icon like Rob Reiner being brutally murdered in his home. So within, you know, 24 hours of the news breaking, to say that this may have had something to do with Rob Reiner and Trump. For Trump to say that, I mean, it's so -- I will say this, I think this is the description that that's apt: It's out of touch.
