PETE HEGSETH (FOX & FRIENDS WEEKEND CO-HOST): In college campuses, it's gotten to the point where you’re guilty when accused if you’re believing all women or believing everybody of a certain perspective. So you’re going to create a lot of additional accusations being made without as much of an opportunity for students to defend themselves, which students should always have a right to be heard — both sides, accusals and counter-accusals.
HARRIS FAULKNER (HOST): Look, the one thing that pops to my mind is the fact that now they’re going to share spaces, and I don’t know how many times we have to learn the same lesson — men and women are different. I don't know many young girls, especially under the age of 15-16, who are involved in sports who really want to be in a locker room with boys. I mean, there is a whole lot of things going on with both of those genders. And if it was meant to protect women, putting them in a situation where they might not be protected physically is challenging and it’s a bad idea. What do you think?
HEGSETH: It’s so dangerous, Harris. I have daughters. I can't conceive of feeling comfortable sending them to a place where their locker room is full of men who are at best confused or at worst have bad intentions and are sharing that locker room with them in the most intimate of places. This is going to create dangerous precedents, dangerous situations that are entirely unnecessary if we just rejected the craziness of the last 15 minutes, recognized biological sex, and stood by that.
