HILLARY VAUGHN (FOX NEWS CORRESPONDENT): A senior DOJ official tells Fox News they are looking at evidence that extremist groups like antifa are participating in violent protests around the country, with multiple U.S. attorneys building cases. In D.C., there have been significant injuries to law enforcement officers. A federal law enforcement official says since the weekend, over 50 Park Police and Secret Service agents have been injured in Washington in the last few days of protests. Most were struck in the head with random objects like bottles, rocks, and bricks. Some of them had to be hospitalized. Another DOJ official tells Fox News that they are also looking into reports of mass drop-offs of items like bricks and rocks that are being used to throw at law enforcement officials.
