TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): Donald Trump is not the only person who thinks hydroxychloroquine might be effective. A lot of practicing physicians think so too. Our leaders should be clear about that, and yet many of them are lying about it at a time when we are desperate for the truth. The thing we need above all is the truth. So what is the truth about hydroxychloroquine? Dr. Marlow Hernandez is CEO of Cano Health. He joins us tonight. Doctor, thanks so much for coming on.

DR. MARLOW HERNANDEZ : Thanks for having me, Tucker.

CARLSON: Give us very quickly an overview of how -- and just on the basis of the science -- how this drug is being used in the United States, as of tonight, in response to this epidemic and what you think the results are.

HERNANDEZ: Sure. So the FDA approved the compassionate use of the medicine for patients with COVID-19 or presumptive for COVID-19. And so it is used throughout the country in hospitals. And we have been finding some preliminary early success with it, as we have in Cano Health. So hospitals like Massachusetts General Hospital, where I practice down here in South Florida, the Memorial Health Care system, and there's a number that have developed actual protocols. Our own clinics have developed protocols. We have administered 46 medical centers and our chief of medicine, Dr. Richard Aguilar, created a wonderful protocol after much thought. And the studies have been encouraging, and at this point we are in a crisis. Folks are suffering from this dangerous pandemic, and hydroxychloroquine is an important weapon in our arsenal.
