CHRISTIAN WHITON: You've had protesters, in fact, one of the raps against Soleimani was that he orchestrated the deaths of hundreds of his own countrymen, people who rose up recently in protest against this regime, this theocratic Islamist tyranny, the dictatorship in Iran that the people of Iran probably do not support.
And, you know, the combination of Donald Trump cutting off the paycheck for Iran, cutting off Obama's paycheck that had afforded this regime tens, perhaps more than a hundred billion dollars in unfrozen funds, and also more than $1 billion, pallets of cash put on a plane sent to Tehran in the middle of the night.
That's what Obama did. A lot of these offensive capabilities you're seeing were paid for by Obama-Biden foreign policy. Donald Trump put an end to that.
