Fox News host Jesse Watters' lewd, misogynistic, and perverted remarks

Fox News prime-time host Jesse Watters has a long history of making misogynistic and sexually suggestive comments on air, and his past year on the network has been no different. Watters has claimed that some men “take women too seriously,” suggested that women are supposed to “get married and live a traditional life,” and made multiple references to sex and pornography while interacting with his female co-hosts on The Five.

Misogyny is deeply ingrained in the culture at Fox News. The network itself and multiple of its stars have been the subjects of repeated sexual harassment scandals, including a far-reaching lawsuit against Fox co-founder Roger Ailes that was eventually dramatized in a 2019 film.

    • Watters: “Get off our back, Carley. We don't want to wear a condom and we don't want to drink your girly drinks.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime7/9/25]
    • Watters to co-host Gillian Turner: “I don't know what kind of porn that you watch, Gillian, but, you know, you need to get help.” [Fox News, The Five12/5/25]
    • Watters lewdly discussed the details of then-Rep. Eric Swalwell’s (D-CA) sexual assault allegations: “Allegedly he was just whipping it out — in a car, in broad daylight, in front of the intern. Like, that's not the moment you do it.” Watters: “One of the allegations was that he sucked on a girl's toes. I just want to say, I mean, guys, do not do that ever, OK? And also, don't just whip it out. Allegedly he was just whipping it out — in a car, in broad daylight, in front of the intern. Like, that's not the moment you do it. It has to be done in the moment of maybe some passion. Never with an intern. But also, sending cock-a-doodle-do pics, also not something that women usually enjoy, seems risky. That's what you’d call — that's what you’d call poor judgment.” [Fox News, The Five4/13/26]
    • Watters: “I think AOC wants to sleep with [Stephen] Miller. It is so obvious. And I'm sorry, you can't have him.” [Fox News, The Five10/7/25]
    • After co-host Dana Perino announced the publication of her romance novel, Watters said, “It looks really good, as long as there’s sex.” Watters: “Is there sex?” Dana: “Allusions to.” Watters: “OK, that’s enough. That’s all I need.” [Fox News, The Five12/9/25]
    • Watters remarked that men could hire a woman contractor from Angie’s List to trap her into a romantic encounter: “What’s that place where you can get people to come do odd jobs at your house? … Angie's List? Tell someone you need a job done at your house like some construction, but you request a woman. She comes over, all of a sudden it’s a date!” [Fox News, The Five1/22/26]
    • Watters described a supposed dream he had that involved his wife in a French maid costume: “She had the little dust thing like that, I smothered myself in dust, and she covered every inch of my dirty body.” Later, when co-host Kayleigh McEnany said a clean house is “romantic,” he scoffed, “You women.” [Fox News, The Five1/15/26]
    • Watters: “Every man, deep down, thinks he can flip a woman. A woman that hates men or a lesbian — he thinks, after a few drinks, game on.” [Fox News, The Five9/18/25]
    • Watters during a segment discussing Sabrina Carpenter: “She looks kind of naughty. Is she naughty?” [Fox News, The Five12/3/25]
    • When Fox anchor Sandra Smith criticized beach volleyball uniforms as “offensive,” Watters responded, “That’s one sport I will watch.” Watters also said he wished he could be paid to have sex and drink alcohol: “There is one task, Greg. We all know what that is. Shouldn't say it, but probably sex. I'm just kidding. Drinking.” [Fox News, The Five1/9/26]
    • Watters on Baywatch: “I was obsessed with this show. It was the closest thing to porn you could watch when we were growing up.” [Fox News, The Five2/20/26]
    • Watters said an airline offering new lie-flat economy seating is “about sex, obviously. Once you lay down flat anything could happen. Stranger, spouse, doesn't matter. You get drinks, you lay down flat, I'm just saying.” [Fox News, The Five3/25/26]
    • Watters during a discussion of the Coldplay kiss cam cheating incident: “I love the word canoodling. I like to say it, I like to do it. Canoodling is such a fresh and beautiful experience. More people should canoodle — from behind, too, like the way they are doing it. It’s nice.” [Fox News, The Five12/19/25
  • Watters has made chauvinist and misogynistic remarks

    • Watters claimed young men are having trouble dating because “they take women too seriously,” described women as “beautiful little creatures,” then addressed his female co-hosts: “You are beautiful. You are adorable. And you love attention. And drinks.” Watters: “Here's the problem with guys — they take women too seriously. You don't really listen to these women, OK? They’ll say things. It just goes one ear and out the other. Oh, we’re toxic? OK, here's a drink, babe. OK. That's done. They love that. They’re beautiful little creatures. We just have to adore them and shower them with love and attention. That’s really all they want. … It's true. Everybody on the table agrees. You are beautiful. You are adorable. And you love attention. And drinks.” [Fox News, The Five1/8/26]
    • Watters questioned the “emotional maturity” of women: “I hope there is not a female president in my lifetime. … But I believe Gavin Newsom could be the first woman president. Because when I hear him talk, he sounds like a woman. The kind of emotional instability, you don't know whether he's having a midlife crisis, an identity crisis, a crisis of confidence.” [Fox News, The Five4/1/26]
    • Watters: “I don't want to be sexist but, Greg, women, you know, are emotional creatures. And you know that they cry in order to get their way. And you know that they deceive in order to get out of trouble.” [Fox News, The Five3/13/25]
    • Watters: “The more women give birth and get married and have babies, the more they vote Republican. So the Republicans should just make sure all these women get married and have kids.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime6/18/25]
    • Watters: “A lot of people think women are just baby-making machines that should just stay in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant. Just pump it out. Do what the man says. And I'm not one of those people. Greg is.” [Fox News, The Five3/31/26]
    • Watters blamed college protests against the Israeli war in Gaza on “society tell[ing] women that they shouldn’t have families. … They are angry they are not allowed to be who they’re supposed to be.” Watters: “When society tells women that they shouldn't have families, they shouldn't get married and live a traditional life, not only are you going to misplace compassion, but you are going to make these women angry. This is suppressed anger. They are angry they are not allowed to be who they are supposed to be. So they are acting out. And they are also being told they are just the same as men. There is no difference between a man and a woman. So they are acting like men. They’re acting violent. And rough.” [Fox News, The Five5/8/25]
    • Watters: “You never want to have a female mentor if you are a guy. Yes, it’s obvious.” [Fox News, The Five8/21/25

    • Watters went on a misogynistic rant against Michelle Obama and “feminists [who] feel like they’re competing against men.”  He responded to co-host Greg Gutfeld saying that women should not have been given the right to vote, claiming: “A lot of people are saying that.” Watters then commented on a recent podcast appearance by Michelle Obama: “When a woman says something that she's doing, she's not doing it. So like, she's wishy-washy. She can't figure it out. You guys know how they are. … She's a whiner. She complains about being in the White House, she complains about her husband.” He continued: “I don't like how Michelle Obama and a lot of these ‘feminists’ feel like they’re competing against men. We're not competing against women. They always think they’re competing against us. We love you guys. We think you’re beautiful and we want to work together. It's not a competition.” [Fox News, The Five11/17/25]
    • Watters: “Communism, queer theory, feminism, none of this stuff actually works in the real world.” [Fox News, The Five5/14/25
    • Watters: “Men are supposed to be guided by reason. They are supposed to exhibit tranquility. They are not supposed to let their emotions get the best of them. That's what happens with women.” Watters then turned to co-host Dana Perino: “Women are la-la-la-la-la-la — that's you. That's what women do.” [Fox News, The Five7/30/25]
    • Watters praised co-host Charlie Hurt for suggesting “men are more honest than women,” claiming: “That might be the smartest thing you’ve ever said, and the most accurate.” Later in the show, Watters said “the country was great” when women couldn’t vote. [Fox News, The Five12/12/2512/12/25

    • Watters claimed Rep. Jasmine Crockett is unhappy because she’s single, then offered to “set her up with someone. … He’s white — hopefully that’s not a problem — but he will make her happy.” Watters: “As far as Jasmine [Crockett] goes, I researched her and it is never good when I do that. I found out that she is single, she is 43, she’s never been married, and I'm trying to figure out what makes her tick. I think I can set her up with someone. I know a guy in D.C. He’s white — hopefully that’s not a problem — but he will make her happy, and maybe then she will not hate everybody else besides herself so much. So if you're interested, I will set it up. And it would be my pleasure to do it.” [Fox News, The Five6/26/25]

You didn't think, having a woman as your vice president, that this was going to happen?” He continued: “Women love to talk. Anything you tell them, they will gossip about. And she put it in a book. What did you think was going to happen?” [Fox News, The Five9/19/25]
    • Watters: “When we [men] see a bunch of women consoling each other, bereaving, we’ve got to get out of there, and so that’s the problem. Imagine four years of that, Kamala sharing her feelings with other women — oh my God. Thank God Trump won.” [Fox News, The Five9/23/25]
    • Watters called New Jersey Democratic Gov. Mikie Sherrill “the dumbest woman I have seen of all time, and I have seen a lot of dumb women.” [Fox News, The Five11/4/25]

    • Watters said the Me Too movement was part of a “mass psychosis.” Watters: “It's so funny, we went through this period of time when you couldn't say merry Christmas, the Me Too movement, trans, we let Jessica talk. It was like mass psychosis culturally in the United States and we've finally snapped out of it here, and it is about time. It is about time we've snapped out of this crazy brain rot we were all suffering from.” [Fox News, The Five12/10/25]
