ANDREW MCCARTHY (LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR): Well, there is obviously a lot of pressure to bring an indictment, we saw that over the weekend. I hope there's not an indictment. I think, you know, the people who have looked at this, Molly, so far, it is not like a bunch of Biden or Hillary Clinton prosecutors have gotten together and sort of whitewashed this thing. Not that I think they have much use for Comey either, but these were people who actually, you know, Trump hand-selected people who looked very hard at this case and tried to make it, and decided that they didn't have the case. I think there are a lot of good reasons for that. Perjury case is a very difficult case to bring. So I'm very suspicious that there's nothing there, but obviously, they want to please the boss.

MOLLY LINE (ANCHOR): Andy, what are your thoughts on that perspective? He's arguing that he's staying out of this.

MCCARTHY: Well, it's hard to make that argument credibly given the post that he put out on, was it Friday or Saturday. But you know look, he's right as a manner of constitutional law, he can direct the Justice Department. Now, it's foolish for the White House to do that, because I think the president is supposed to give direction in terms of what kind of law enforcement priorities he has, but they really ought to let the day-to-day administration of justice in particular cases be done by the professional prosecutors at the Justice Department. He says now that he's going to let them make a decision, we'll just have to see what happens.
