GREG KELLY (HOST): Alright, so it's Pride Month. Anybody know who this guy is? He's a big icon in the gay community. Harvey Milk — I have heard of him, largely because there was a movie called Harvey Milk that starred James Franco as Harvey Milk. He was a gay rights activist in San Francisco. He was eventually murdered. I — you know, I don't know that much about the guy. I do know this, I just looked it up — he was in the Navy for four years in the 50s, and he left as a JG — lieutenant JG, not exactly an admiral. So what did the, what did they do? They named the damn ship for him. The USSS Harvey Milk. Can you imagine being the commander of the Harvey Milk? I mean, some guys get to command an aircraft carrier, the Enterprise, the Coral Sea. I'm the skipper of the Harvey Milk. It's not a very impressive vessel. Let's face it.
Anyway, why is it in the news? Because the secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, just announced they're changing the name. Just in time for Pride Month. Pete, I'm sorry I ever doubted you, man. This is fantastic. And look, Harvey never considered that a ship would be named after him. Even he would have said this went way too far. Jaimee Michell joins us once again. Founder, Gays Against Groomers. They do such great work. Gays Against Groomers dot com. Now look Jaimee I know this is a little bit — we're going to get to some of the problems that girls are facing in school. You've heard of Harvey Milk right?
JAIMEE MICHELL (FOUNDER, GAYS AGAINST GROOMERS): I have, yes.
KELLY: Not in a million years would that guy ever have even wanted a ship named for him. It was so over the top. And I think this is very, very appropriate. A redress, if you will, a correction. Fair enough?
MICHELL: Yeah. No, I actually totally agree. Now, I admit, back in the day — I don't know if you've ever heard of the movie or seen the movie, but there was a movie made about Harvey Milk and his life. And he was played by Sean Penn. And, you know, I was under the impression that he was an all around great guy, you know, a pioneer for gay rights and the like. And while he was that, he was also a groomer, literally, by definition, he started grooming. And I believe — I may be wrong. So I don't want to say, but he allegedly, I believe, raped a boy. He started grooming him at 16. And then ended up raping him. Now please, audience, forgive me. I may be wrong, but I think that's factual. And so, yeah, I mean, the only reason he ever had a Navy ship named after him was because he was gay, right? And to me, that's just gay privilege. And I don't want that in this country. And everybody else I know that's gay doesn't want that either.
