Geraldo Rivera, Fox News commentator, today blamed the Rolling Stone writer who penned the now controversial story about Gen. Stanley McChrystal for revealing the general's criticism of President Obama to the public.
He claims it should have been kept off-the-record.
“You have a cone of privilege, it is something that if it is not on-the-record, it is off-the-record,” he said.
Rivera, speaking on Fox News today, added that the reporter, Michael Hastings, never should have been given an embed position in Afghanistan.
“Whoever was in charge of putting that reporter with those soldiers in that context allowed a rat to be in an eagle's nest.”
