In the wake of Democrats’ sweeping election victories across the country on November 4, right-wing media quickly focused their ire on young women, who voted overwhelmingly for Democratic candidates. 

Figures across right-wing media expressed fear over the demographic, with Newsmax host Carl Higbie labeling “liberal white women” as “the biggest threat to America — they will literally vote for their own destruction and take everyone down with them.” The response from right-wing media to women exercising their right to vote ramps up a trend of conservative voices attacking liberal women in the past year.

  • Right-wing media react to young women voters following November 4 elections

    • On Fox & Friends, Fox Business anchor David Asman: “The figure you don’t have that's the scariest is 66% of Democrats now have a favorable view of socialism.     • Fox News host Jesse Watters blamed college-educated “single women” for supporting Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani in New York City, saying, “They are the force here.” Watters ranted: “You’re in a tiny apartment, and the apartment’s getting really expensive because all of these migrants are here now. And it's also expensive because of the Green New Deal, so your utilities are high, and you've got the wrong degree. You should have gotten a degree in, like, chemistry, biology, finance, computer science, something useful in this high-tech AI economy.     • Fox host Will Cain: “It’s young women showing up for Democrats. About 80% of women aged 18-29 voted for winning Democrats in New York, Virginia, and New Jersey last night. Women 30-44 overwhelmingly cast their vote for the Democrat candidates. So, I've been asking this question for quite some time: What's wrong with white women?” Fox News’ Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, who goes by Kennedy, responded: “These broads are so fickle.” [Fox News, The Will Cain Show, 11/5/25]
    • Newsmax’s Carl Higbie: “This is why I say liberal white women are the biggest threat to America — they will literally vote for their own destruction and take everyone down with them.” Higbie claimed, “The left has turned women against strong male figures. … Those same liberal women will absolutely call someone like me or someone else that's alpha when they need to be defended, and when those men do defend them — once they're safe and sound, of course — they turn around and they put them on trial like they did with Daniel Penny.   • Conservative media figures have spent the last year criticizing and fearmongering about liberal women

    • Fox News contributor Miranda Devine on American women supposedly adopting the 4B movement, a South Korean feminist protest “to swear off men”: “It's just a very self-defeating protest. And I don't think it’ll last all that long, but it shows just you how unhinged a lot of liberal women became over Donald Trump.” [Fox News, Fox & Friends, 11/12/24] 
    • Hannity guest Drew Pinsky suggested women who were upset by Trump’s reelection had been “propagandized to the point that they literally have become mentally ill.” Pinsky: “The whole headline here, Sean, is hysteria — hysteria and delusion — and the source of this has been mainstream media. The American public has been propagandized to the point that they literally have become mentally ill. And the thing about delusionality is it can’t be reasoned with.” [Fox News, Hannity, 11/12/24]
    • In response to reports that women were embracing the 4B movement, Fox host Sean Hannity declared, “The hysteria on the left, it’s only getting worse.” Guest Adam Carolla remarked, “As far as the sterilization thing, I wish these women’s moms had thought about sterilizing themselves before they hatched out these little demon seeds.” [Fox News, Hannity, 12/2/24] 
    • Discussing some women’s responses to Trump’s 2024 presidential win, Lisa Kennedy Montgomery said: “It's really terrifying because, you know, I look at the women who were shaving their heads and the ones who were having their fallopian tubes removed, and I'm like, maybe for the better, you know. It’s like, you seem very unstable.” Co-host Harris Faulkner responded: “Undiagnosed mental health issues in this country are not a joke. And I am concerned, wholeheartedly, that where we have gotten now with this sort of political victimhood that these women are talking about is really dangerous.” [Fox News, Outnumbered, 12/3/24]
    • On The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, co-host Clay Travis said: “The Democrat Party, by and large, is almost exclusively the party of college-educated white women.     • Fox News host Greg Gutfeld said, “The overwhelming majority of protesters are angry women.” He continued to explain that “radical female leftists” want to “be in places where they aren't wanted. They want to like get in your face and scream and yell at you.” [Fox News, The Five, 5/12/25] 
    • On The Faulkner Focus, OutKick founder Clay Travis said: “One of the people that you talked to on the street, a younger woman probably in her 20s or 30s, I think is emblematic of what I would say the woke mind virus is when she said, well, if they identify as women, they should be able to play as women.” He continued, “I would love to ask that person who you interviewed, Harris, what if I identified as a 12-year-old boy and wanted to play Little League Baseball?” [Fox News, The Faulkner Focus, 5/21/25]
    • Peterson said, “I think it’s something in the neighborhood of 50-60% of liberal young women in particular between the ages of 18 and 34 who suffer from at least one diagnosable mental disorder.” Right-wing political commentator Megyn Kelly responded, “I’m not surprised to hear those stats about liberal women in particular. … The schools today try to exploit young girls' and young women's empathy to bend them to their Democratic norms.” [The Daily Wire, The Jordan B.     • On The Ingraham Angle, Pinsky complained: “If the progressive female is going to be completely rejecting of anybody who is not mirroring their likes and dislikes, it's going to be a very sad time for them. I mean, it is just — first of all, you’re eliminating more than half of the country, and you're approaching men in a way that they don't like. You’re marginalizing them.” He continued, “They talked in that article, I think it was in the New York Post, about how young single males are resentful.     • Newsmax’s Rob Schmitt said there is an “army of liberal, lefty pregnant women just pounding Tylenol as a way of, you know, kind of getting even with the White House.” He continued, “It’s really sick.” [Newsmax, Rob Schmitt Tonight, 9/25/25]
    • Daily Wire host Matt Walsh said, “Liberal female judges are probably the most dangerous people in the entire country.” He continued, “They are responsible for more death and destruction than anyone else.” [The Daily Wire, The Matt Walsh Show, 10/30/25]
