LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): Another day, another attempt by the left, the Democrats, to delegitimatize the Supreme Court. Now, the newest attack is on Justice Samuel Alito. The group ProPublica reports that he took a luxury fishing vacation with billionaire Paul Singer who later had cases before the court. Now, their biggest gripes is that Alito did not recuse himself from this cases, nor did disclose the fishing trip on financial forms. Well, first, on this recusal issue, let me just say, Alito said, and he's right, there is no obligation to do that. And he wasn't even aware of Singer's connection to any of the cases before him. And as to the disclosures, Alito says this falls under the category of personal hospitality, which it obviously does, something that does not need to be reported if it is from an individual. Because guess what? If you are a Supreme Court Justice, you still can have friends.
