Fox News guest defends the Three-Fifths Compromise as giving “humanhood to black people”

Kevin Jackson: “All this nonsense about America, look, where do you want to live?”

From the May 15 edition of Fox News' The Ingraham Angle:

LEO TERRELL: Let me just simply say this, Laura, since I love history and government. When this constitution was created, me, because I was black, I was considered three-fifths of a human being.

KEVIN JACKSON: That's just nonsense.

TERRELL: He's absolutely right about the historical shame of blacks being considered property when this country was created.

[...]

JACKSON: First of all the Three-Fifths Compromise was essentially what this particular gentleman doesn't understand was it was to give humanhood to black people. Spike Lee learned that and it was an embarassment to him. So all this nonsense about America, look, where do you want to live?
