Fox host: People are joining migrant caravan because they have “FOMO”

Lisa Kennedy Montgomery: “I think” a driving reason, “honestly, is FOMO. You see people watch this caravan swell, and they don't want to miss out on it”

LISA KENNEDY MONTGOMERY (CO-HOST): It's interesting because, if you've been on safari, you know that -- if you're on a walking safari, you all have to stick together as humans so elephants think you're one thing. Because, if you're one thing, they're not going to attack you. And I think that's what's happened here, is the idea that there is strength in numbers, and if a bunch of people try and get over the border, that they'll have much better success than an individual, like a single mother and an infant, or a family of people. So, that's one part of it.

I think the other part, honestly, is FOMO [fear of missing out]. You see people watch this caravan swell, and they don't want to miss out on it, because, obviously, these people have a place they're going, they have a directed goal in mind, and if they achieve that and their lives are better, they don't want to miss out on that.
