A Florida Republican is under investigation for election fraud. Fox is instead scandalizing groups registering minority voters in Georgia.

Florida attorney Bill Price was caught on video encouraging Republicans in Florida to register to vote in Georgia

The December 3 edition of Fox News’ America’s Newsroom ran a segment discussing Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s investigation into the voter registration organization New Georgia Project, failing to mention an active investigation into Republican voter fraud efforts in the state.

In the segment, anchor Trace Gallagher and Fox contributor Dan Henninger hyped the investigation of The New Georgia Project (founded by Democrat Stacey Abrams) but failed to state that the investigation does not allege widespread fraud. In fact, echoing the ACORN freakout of 2008, many of the accusations are about voter registrations being mailed to incorrect locations -- regardless of what happened to them once they arrived. The efforts in Georgia have included a focus on minority communities, and The New York Times has noted that the investigation may be linked to new restrictions on voting that Republicans are interested in after President Donald Trump lost the state to President-elect Joe Biden in November.

While this hypothetical fraud is getting play on Fox, the segment failed to mention that there’s an active investigation into Republican voter fraud efforts in the state. In a video uncovered by WSB Atlanta investigative reporter Nicole Carr, Florida attorney Bill Price encouraged Republicans in Florida to register to vote in Georgia in the lead up to the state’s January Senate runoff election.

Fox’s hypocrisy is blatant and is yet another example of the network helping to promulgate Trump’s false claims of voter fraud during the 2020 election.
