Seth Meyers Calls Out Media Over Lack Of Coverage Of Women's Soccer

From Glamour's 2015 Women of the Year Awards:

SETH MEYERS: I'm very honored to be here tonight to talk about the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team. They are very good at what they do. And I am not a good pick for this you guys. I am not good at sports. I love sports but I'm not good at sports. I was thinking back stage, not only would I lose Serena [Williams] and Billie Jean [King] in tennis, I'm pretty sure I'd go down in straight sets to Madeleine Albright. We all believed that the women would win the FIFA Women's World Cup this year. And they didn't just win; they crushed it. They united our country, inspiring girls across this nation to become champions. No one made it easy for them: not FIFA, who made them play on artificial turf; not male writers, who dissed women's sports; not TV networks, who underestimated how badly we wanted to root for our champs.
