AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): Even The New York Times article said this morning -- in maybe like paragraph three or four – but it says, “doesn't appear to be illegal that the president has the power to declassify almost anything.” And that's what the president’s saying in this tweet: “I have the absolute right to do this.”

STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): Dot, dot dot.

BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Right. I would just hope that [National Security Adivser] H.R. Mcmaster or [Deputy National Security Adviser] Dina Powell or [Secretary of State] Rex Tillerson is looking at his tweets before he tweets out because there’s so much at stake here. You don't want to start making things more controversial by a tweet.

DOOCY: Listen, he's obviously tweeting. He's trying to get his side out. It would be great today, the president’s got a couple of holes in his schedule. Mr. President, how about a press conference today? Everybody’s got questions. You’ve got the answer. Nobody can present Donald Trump's side of the story better than President Donald Trump.

KILMEADE: But what if he has a press conference and all the reporters are busy? So maybe they need some more notice. Do you think they’d --

EARHARDT: I have a better idea.

DOOCY: He could do one of those YouTube questions.

EARHARDT: Or he could call us this morning. We'll put him on the air, and then he can talk to the American people.

KILMEADE: If he remembers the number.

DOOCY: Sure. That's right Mr. President. If you want to call in this morning, we would put you on the air. Triple eight tell Fox. Go ahead.
